We often separate our country in regions when discussing travel. The Pacific region includes Washington, Oregon, Alaska, California and Hawaii. Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming make up the West. Southwest includes the states Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma. The Midwest is more north and includes Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio, and Wisconsin. Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia make up the largest region, the Southeast. When traveling to the Northeast you can the visits the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington D.C.

If the outdoors are of interest we have 423 National Parks throughout the USA.
